Solid drama about writer Shirley Jackson, portrayed here as mentally unstable and in a complicated relationship with her husband, a professor at Bennington. They’ve taken in a young faculty member who’s joined the college, and his wife, and they are both emotionally torturing and gaining inspiration from the young couple. Vassar stands in for Bennington in a few scenes; you’ll recognize the Library and Rockefeller’s main lecture hall.
